The Association of Medical Students of the University of Nairobi (AMSUN) is the largest individual medical student organization in Kenya. It is an independent, non-governmental and non-political association.
Since 1967, AMSUN has been run by and for medical students and served its members at the premier Kenyan University on a not-for-profit basis, providing leadership and nurturing the profession. Its membership is drawn from students pursuing the MBChB degree and thus serves as their official mouth piece and platform for action.
For almost 50 years, AMSUN has brought together the local, regional and global medical student community working on pertinent health issues. Hundreds of activities are planned, designed, and carried out every year on the local, national and international levels.

MESSAGE FROM THE VICE-CHAIRMAN
The association of medical students of the University of Nairobi-AMSUN is the largest professional association in the College of health sciences with a membership of 1500 medical students drawn from both the regular and module 2 undergraduate programs.
The association is rich in both history and culture, with close to half a century at the helm of professional activities in the college. Every year as the college opens its doors to prospective medical students, we strive to offer our new colleagues a warm and cordial welcome as well as facilitating their induction into University life.
As the official in charge of academic affairs, arguably the most important agenda in the university, I would like to state that we run a very professional organization with core values aimed specifically to enrich the lives of our members through productive activities that build their character and competence in the medical field. A comprehensive list of all our activities and schedules is always available at our website; www.amsunorg.co.ke.
Please feel free to contact us anytime as we look forward to sharing ideas with all of you.
Amsun First Vice Chairman.
